April 11th, 2008 An early exit after a promising start. Altamahaw, NC
– After qualifying fourth fastest and redrawing the pole
positon, driver Andy Seuss led the field to the green flag at the
DMC Auto Exchange 150 at Ace Speedway. The team's excitement and
enthusiasm would soon turn to disappointment before the third lap of
the race was completed. Defending
NASCAR Whelen Southern Modifed Tour champion L.W. Miller quickly
worked his way past the second place car of Jason Myers and set his
sights on the Advance Auto Parts Dodge. Miller made his bid for the lead as he and Seuss raced off turn four. Seuss was sent spinning
out of control due to contact made by Miller. The cars of Bobby Hutchens and
Buddy Emory were also collected in the melee, blocking the track and bringing out the red flag. The
team heads back to its Martinsville shop with a destroyed race car and
a long night ahead of them to rebuild their primary race car. The team plans to be ready for tomorrow
night's Whelen Southern Modified Tour 150 at Caraway Speedway. Keep
checking back for the latest news and updates from Caraway as
Andy and the team race towards the 2008 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified
Tour championship. |
